Electronics Integrator Internship

About the Role

We are looking for a unique engineer to join our team as an intern. The role involves programming for motor controllers, and integrating into a system to operate on the IOT. A separate team is working on the UI. Our system uses over 20 electronic valves and numerous sensors and motors. This individual would also be involved in the assembly of prototypes. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a growing cross-functional team of engineers, scientists, business and media professionals. This is a paid internship that could lead to a direct hire. 


Responsibilities:

• Determination of the power requirements to operate the various elements of the system.

• Assessment and optimization of electronic efficiency for the various elements of the system.

• Determination of the safety, fail-safes, and code requirements for the various elements of the system.

• Design of wiring diagrams.

• Research and source all electronic components for all primary and secondary element of the system.

• Research and source all sensors for the system, and determine what will need to be electronically monitored.

• Research and source the controls, software, and user interfaces that will be required for the system.

• Potentially assess how the system (or various elements thereof) might adaptable be run via renewable energy sources,  (e.g., solar, wind, bio-fuel cells)


Requirements:

• Degree/diploma or working towards completing one in either environmental engineering, civil engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering

• Passion for clean technology/sustainability, new business models and technological innovation is an asset 

• Experience with robotics

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Attention to detail

• Ability to think "out of the box"

• Work well independently and as part of a team


Clean Tech Research Internship

About the Role

We are currently hiring a Research Intern to join our team and be a significant catalyst in our growth. The Research Intern is responsible for researching, understanding and developing insightful actionable data. Your insights and suggested technological improvements will be highly valued. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a growing cross-functional team of engineers, scientists, business and media professionals. This is a paid internship that could lead to a direct hire.

To be eligible for this role you must be:

•   30 years of age or younger,

•   a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or have refugee status; and,

•   available to work full-time.

The Research Intern will be responsible for conducting company research and data entry, will have a unique opportunity to build up knowledge and insight in several clean technology sectors.


Responsibilities:

•  Analyze energy needs and plan renewable, environmentally-friendly solutions

•  Research global energy and related environmental issues

•  Gathering and presenting information and insight on innovative clean tech businesses

•  Writing profiles on clean tech companies

•  Providing market insight and commentary to support Marketing and Communications

•  Stay abreast of the latest clean tech news and events from a range of sources: investor websites, research reports news sites and more

•  Develop energy-saving activities for new projects/ventures

•  Calculate energy usage and costs

•  Prepare and evaluate environmental impact statements

•  Assist with model builds and design

•  Attend conferences and seminars as needed


Requirements:

• Degree/diploma in either environmental engineering, civil engineering, chemical engineering, environmental studies, public policy or a related field

• Passion for clean technology/sustainability, new business models and technological innovation is an asset 

• Curious and analytical

Business Analyst Internship

In sum, the Business Analyst will be responsible for developing and continuously improving the business and its operations by analyzing data and telling a story.

To be eligible for this role you must be:

•   30 years of age or younger,

•   a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or have refugee status; and,

•   available to work full-time.


Responsibilities:

•  Develop and establish key business and financial models for Demizine’s line

up of products

•  Collect, consolidate and analyze data to identify the relevant value and cost

drivers for operations

•  Prepare and present financial analysis including analytics and insights  

•  Remain current on overall company goals, value proposition and product  

capabilities in the areas of processes, continuous improvements, digital  

strategy, supply chain management and other services

•  Document any identified required changes, and communicate them to the

relevant stakeholders

•  Constantly be on the lookout for ways to improve monitoring, discover

issues and provide solutions to the group


Qualifications:

•  A Bachelor's Degree in engineering, MBA, MPA, business administration,  

statistics or a related field  

•  Ability to absorb and evaluate information from a variety of sources

•  Sound business acumen and demonstrated ability to consider the “big

picture” in answering analytical questions

•  Up to 2 to 3 years of relevant working experience

•  Passion for the environment and sustainability

•  Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and  

disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and  

accuracy, and be able to consolidate that information into a digestible

report

•  Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint  

•  Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team

environment

•  Superb communication skills and organizational (time management) skills  

are essential

•  Strong financial analysis skills including the ability to model and interpret  

income statement, balance sheet and cash flow are essential

•  Excellent business acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the  

ability to confidently communicate results of the analysis
